Trasporti Pesanti at the Shipping, Transport & Logistic Forum, between sustainability and innovation

On January 28, 2025, we had the honor of taking part in the 3rd edition of the “Shipping, Transport & Logistic Forum,” a major event organized by Telenord in cooperation with the Propeller Club Port of Genoa. The conference brought together experts, companies, and professionals from the sector to discuss key topics such as the role of artificial intelligence in maritime and land transport, as well as the ongoing
energy transition
in the industry.

We were not just attendees. Stefano Storti actively contributed to the panel titled “Innovation in Land Freight Transport. Will the Energy Transition and Artificial Intelligence Change Business Models and Operator Strategies?”

Storti shared his insights on the radical transformation taking place in both maritime and land transport. He emphasized how advanced technologies are improving operational efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Among these innovations, artificial intelligence plays a crucial role, particularly in fleet management, logistics, and route optimization.

Regarding the energy transition, Storti highlighted the challenges and opportunities related to adopting alternative fuels and more sustainable solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions in heavy transport. He also underlined the Group’s ongoing investments in research and innovation, aiming for a zero-emission future for our fleet.

Storti’s talk highlighted how crucial an integrated approach is, combining operational efficiency, sustainability and technological innovation. Digitization and automation are key elements for the future of the industry, with artificial intelligence as an indispensable resource to meet the operational challenges of an increasingly competitive market.
